The End of Death

Once

I embodied the scream of pain,

Not of bodily nature.

I was the silence

The empty room

Only to fill my house of souls

Not all damned

The righteous are laid to rest

Just as the masses

Now

My house empties

Bodies frozen never to come home

Medicine pumping decaying bodies for selfish love

The house will only be emptier

As these technological branches pull from my home into the cloud

for a new life

my purpose lost

the god of death and his house crumbles
