The End Is Near?

The end is near are the last words I want to hear:

“Do not shout nor do not cheer, but only fear.

Of what to come is here, we will clear, disappear. Like a frightened deer, in the way of a spear.

Fast and cold the Earth will appear

As for none of us will be here, at the end of Earth’s last year.”
