End of the Nest

I lay in bed countless hours going by

I begin to wonder why

I realize I am all alone,

Fifteen years old

Feeling without a home

No parents, no friends to guide me

Just me all alone in this world.

I come to realize I am my own home

I have grown out of my cacoon

Its time I leave the nest, no more rest

I know the path to my life, I must spread my wings and fly

How lovely it would feel to be a teen for some time more..

But I am afriad that is out the door.
