ENDEAVOR

I sat at my piano;

I looked at all the keys;

It was an empty studio-

Outside were all the trees!

I gazed outside the window

"I musn't lose any time!"

Running out the chateau,

I could hear some church bells chime.

Suddenly, I was disheartened!

Suddenly, I felt dismayed!

This ringing was a godsend-

My art had been delayed!

I scurried back inside,

Thinking all the thoughts I could-

"What can I write?" I cried.

"Am I even any good?"

I thought and I thought

And I scribbled and I thought.

"I can do it!" I fought.

"There's no use to be taught,"

And then at once I had it!

My spark of creativity!

Would anything be more fit

 To write than relativity?

And so, dear reader, here am I

Hoping you relate.

As I merely try

To influence and create.
