Ending.

The filthy dervish draws me still closer to the dawning horror, my impending doom. The earth has paid ransom for my heart. My mother’s complicated patience, her sweet perfume mixes with the dank smell of must, tempting my trapped brain. She silently watches my dark wedding to the black, no bitterness in her tranquil face. Am I meaningless to her now? I frantically scramble to stay my hold, but I’m gradually losing my will. And then I am falling, falling, falling into the unending piles of the worn bones of my life and the detritus of my broken heart.
