Ending the Path

This path’s long and unread

Set to move by and by.

She hears no hatred or sorrow ahead!

Above, the clear, blue sky

And the cold, rough dirt below yearns for her.

Trees travel in the wind.

It will be an everlasting summer

In her right mind.

Nothing holding her low.

She is ready to flee.

The sun’s rays boundlessly beating below

As she is free.

A new beginning free from the cold dirt.

No regret from her past.

She goes to the garden keeper unhurt

As the path ends at last.
