ENDING OF THINGS

The ending of things carries with itself different tastes, How sorrow stays in the tongue is not a twin to joy, and so when I heard the cacophonic sound of your ring on the floor of divorce— I walk into a body, a body too dark to find me. silence became a song and in its depth, I dissolved, liquor after liquor, the genesis of heartbreak begins at the revelation. In the game of love, We know easily how to put a knife across its rules, The rainbow you are now has only a color—black the beginning of blank-ness, in the heart, in the body, And where our beauty appears, How do you come to this junction? in the night I am your firefly, I am the wind carrying you to places, cities of hope and posterity, I gave myself to pains to listen to your laughter, But when you return like the surf, you bring to me broken things.
