Endings

I know it has to end

Everything ends someday
But can't we just keep hiding
Behind this beautiful facade?
Pretend everything is fine
While the world falls to peices
All around outside
Ad the truth hails down
But it can't touch us
We're too far hidden
Too far deep into our denial
That everything will work out
That it will never end
One day we'll realize
Our horrible mistake
But not until it's much too late
Not until so many tears
Have fallen down
And so many bridges
Have been burned to the ground
So baby just know I love you
Know that I fought this too
Fought our demise
Maybe we'll never have to realize
That everything must end
