Endless Cycle

It was that night I told the stars about you

I told them about the sweet embrace of your voice

The way your smile lit up the sun

The way your soul intertwined with mine

It was the way the clouds hid the stars from my words

Letting me know my judgement was clouded

Just like the wind brought in the storm

Your intentions the very same

You can't have thunder without a little lightning

Or say harsh words without bringing some pain

Your smile no longer lit up the sun

Your soul differed from mine

Surrounded by melancholy

My farewell to you as the storm passes on
