an endless maze

through ups and downs, and twisty turns,

and the way my heart burns

for those i've loved, or thought, at least.

was it amour or more of an infatuation?

a dream of what we could be like, if things were to work out.

they never do, but i've come to appreciate the burnout.

a time to think about what went wrong, while vowing to never let it happen again.

it always does.

will i ever learn?
