Endless Night

Displayed upon my face are two black eyes 

Restless nights leave me with no time to sleep

Calling out, no one seems to hear my cries

I seem to plunge into dark oceans deep

Reaching out, no one seems to notice me

I cannot swim, for the surface I grasp

Pure darkness leaves me unable to see

Unable to forget my troubled past

Heavy weight upon my chest, pressing down

I have never seen darkness be so light

Sound of heart beating be the only sound

Lightning strikes so bright, I seem to lose sight

I don’t know how much longer I can last

Alone, taken to the ocean, and cast
