Endless Thank You's
A mentor is not a word I would use to describe you,
Not in any way or form were you inspiring.
Not a model human being,
Not an encourager of dreams.
You were careless,
decieving,
and heartless.
You taught me all the things not to be,
Taught me how to be great by being terrible.
I thank you for the rough conversations,
and the inability to see the wrong you were doing.
I thank you for showing me how to be compassionate when you were not.
I thank you for the terrible words because they taught me how to be sweet.
But most of all,
I thank you for falls,
Because they taught me how to fly.
