Endure

She was hurting, she cried.

She mourned, her joy had died.

What more she could do to help herself?

She sat alone for hours and cursed herself.

She had failed in her pursuit for love.

She tried to cajole herself,

even ordered her heart to harden itself.

She kept running from pillar to post,

host a few guests,

and catered to unreasonable requests.

She must have been tired,

there was nothing she admired.

Then she heard a voice,

it asked her to rise.

For love wasn't a curse,

it came to her life with a purpose.

She must endure the pain, until she rediscovers herself again.
