The Enemy Within

"Why bother? You'll only FAIL and make a fool of yourself" I hear the grotesque voice echo through my mind.

"Perhaps you're right, but still, nothing is CERTAIN, one must first try to see the outcome. I cannot simply accept defeat without having made a move."

"And if you do prove to be UNSUCCESSFUL? What then?"

"Then I shall learn from my failure, use it to make me STRONGER, and try once again"

"How persistent, yet FOOLISH of you. Do you really wish to suffer the same fate twice that badly?"

"No, I believe in myself, that I can ACCOMPLISH what I set out to do. That is what motivates me to get back up on my feet."

"Very well then, if you insist, do as you please. Prance CLUMSILY in circles, you'll never get anywhere."

"I am DETERMINED. I will not fail, and I will prove you wrong!"

....

Silence fills the deepest corners of my mind, and I realize the voice is gone. I have triumphed over my greatest foe. Pushing forward, i set out to fulfill what I want in life.
