Energy, chapter I
A little angel arrived,
Magically,
A little torn,
Unfortunately.
Caused your parents,
A lot of heartache,
Confusion in their child rearing skills,
So much at stake.
Albert, the pet cat,
Who adored you,
Stroked his love,
Protected you.
Pointing at his stomach,
Mystically,
Pointing at his stomach,
Lovingly.
The same,
With mum and dad,
Enthralled by your love,
Trying to understand it all, made you both mad.
Pointing at your stomach's,
So magically,
Pointing at your stomach's,
Gave a clue to thee.
A rare form of synesthesasia,
Endowed upon you,
A rare form of a magical gift,
Seeing energy in people through and through.
Out there in public was too much of a fright,
Too much noise, so bright.
Inside was warm, full of love too,
Inside was protection from the both of you.
Learned to see the signals from you,
Learned to teach that its not against you,
Learned to step back from it all,
Learned to see the energy and not fall.
Now a little older,
Privately,
Now a little smarter,
Emotionally.
Get to see,
The energy within you,
Get to see
What it means to be you,
This gift that,
Posses within me,
Wasn't what I wanted,
Feel a little cursed to be me.
Yet I can see,
Truthfully
Who you are,
Just not within me.
Appreciate this sight,
Other's would love to see,
Sometimes it's a delight,
To see the magic within thee.
Other times it hurt's,
To see the pain in you.
Sometimes the colour,
Is too dark to see this through.
The painful reality,
That life can be tough,
Seeing people are hurting inside,
They can no longer bluff.
Parent's told me to keep this to me,
No one can know this,
Not even your best friend,
Or husband to be.
Still so young,
Brightfully,
Have to watch my tongue.
Going into the military.
