English

It has been said that we are here to learn,

but once in the door an icy white snow

encaptures my mind, and I understand so

the facts that led to fame the Bell Jar earned,

Sitting behind this slab of wood I sigh,

because English is not where I excel.

I wait and start a countdown to the bell.

Passion to learn does not help time fly by.

So they say AP is the place to be,

yet I find it hard to read and to write.

My mind wanders to other things.  Gone long

from words and poems, fresh air it waits to see.

I can’t find meaning in the so called “light”.

Words still have yet to sing me their great song.
