Enjoy the ride

I was reading something earlier that coincided with how I often think. for instance, I work on the road at many different sports and entertainment venues and am often asked if I've gotten any autographs. I said " I don't particularly care or want their signatures, I'm not here for that." when asked why I say " because, I grew up around famous people and got enough at a young age and would much rather enjoy the experience of being a nobody." nothing more powerful to me than the joy ride. the story behind it. The, how I found something or who I chatted with or the pictures I've taken. I don't go out of my way to see someone famous. I'm just gonna be in the background doing my job enjoying the scenery. I've even been asked would I ever do a day over if had the opportunity. I used to say it was a good idea, but today the answer would be a No. I could ramble on for hours about all the fun I had as a child, or all the cool and exciting places I've been, but truth is, the fun really didn't happen until I turned my life over to God. every place I've gone as a Christian far exceeds ( leaps and bounds) anything I ever did through addiction. the clarity and pureness of thought. the way my words reach for the journal every day. it's like flying a plane on autopilot and I'm not the pilot. But His words through me. I was talking to a biker at Sturgis Buffalo Chip last year and he said the craziest thing to me. " you have got to be the most intelligent and intellectual person I've ever talked to". what he didn't know was I never graduated high school or finished college. The Holy Spirit in me was the one leading and guiding me to witness to everyone. why I talk to so many people of many different cultures. pick their brains. one day I'll fully grasp my gift and take my journey by the reigns. until then, a little pitter and a little patter along the way to counting it all joy.
