Enlightened 9/27/15

Silhouettes in a darkened room

Pondering the world’s greatest mysteries

Surrounded by nothing but nostalgic gloom

The memories of a different time cloaking their thoughts of the present

Pulling their minds into a place of the past

A place of resent

Until a beam of light shines through a cracked window

The slight breeze tugging the silhouettes of a forgotten person

Back into the now

Back into a house of hope

A home of heart

Opportunities whispering into one’s ear

Affirming the resilience that was always there

Just hidden

Until the silhouettes are no longer shadows

But actual human beings

Ready to conquer anything that may cross their path

Together
