Enough

Sometimes I feel

As though

I am not

Good enough.

Smart enough.

Pretty enough.

Thick enough.

Just...

Enough.

To hold your interest.

Day in

And day out.

I am in constant battle

With my own emotions

A raging war

Between my heart

And my mind.

It seems as though

My mind

Is winning

My subconscious mind

Is feeding

My conscious mind

Bad thoughts.

Heartbreaking thoughts.

Causing it to lose hope.

I will not lie.

Abandonment

Has been on my mind

These past few days.

How do you forget

About someone

You love?

Someone

You care about?

Has someone else

Caught your eye?

Stolen your heart?

Are they

Receiving all

Of your attention?

If so,

I will not

Be surprised.

I am so young.

So inexperienced.

So innocent.

And you,

My love,

Are the exact opposite.

Maybe your curiosity

Has gotten the best

Of you.

You yearn for that

Which I can not give

Will not give.

Until the time is right.
