Enough

A day in August;

hot as hell.

mark time mark!

and I'm not doing well.

But I'm doing my best.

and that's very good.

but you're not the best.

and so, there I stood...

not the best,

well that's new.

that's not what they told me

in elementary school.

A day in March;

I'm happy as hell.

mark time mark!

and I'm doing well.

not that I tried harder,

it's still tough.

but instead I got smarter.

not best, but enough.
