Enough

Writing is my voice.

You see, my life has not been one of self-expression:

“Sit up straight-Don’t slouch!”

“Smile…they are watching”

“Be polite”

“Be respectful”

“Say what you feel? Are you crazy?!”

“You have to be..”

“Try your hardest to be…”

“But you’ll never be...”

PERFECT

I have never been…

All my life I’ve run towards this far off illusion.

I almost reach it

Then I fall,

Suffering because I lack,

Crumbling,

Only to realize:

No one is.

Jotting down my flaws

They fill the page,

The walls,

The sky.

I see the beauty,

It gives me life.

I write to live.
