Enough

I was depressed

Surrounded by haze, dark clouds closed in on me

I took the medication they said would help

One, two, three, five, eighteen years of medications

Nothing changed

I was a machine

Overdosing reguarly

No aspirations, not even a goal in life

An unrecognizable, useless, numb human I became

I ran...one, two, three, five, thirteen, twenty six miles

I am wondering what this feeling is

Addicted to the endorphins

I am getting out of bed regularly now

I am even feeling well enough to return to work

I am smiling now

I am researching secondary schooling

I feel the determination and motivation to keep living

I am choosing life goals

I am making changes

I am a woman

I am strong

I can feel again

I am happy

I am

...

Enough
