Enough

Burnt tounge and lived in bones--

I've got a world here

All my own

Scale the scaffolding

Here. Now. Perspective.

Because I'm tired

of feeling it's all coming to an end

of feeling the languid dread

of feeling its approach

-thick, Molasses, and my throat

cannot speak

and I, cannot think

it's like the drip of a leaky faucet

IV tube. Again. And slow.

Here. Now. Perspective.

I'm tired

And I refuse.

I'm a creator

     a doer

I make things happen

I shape my world

I am a goddess wielding her pen.

I Build.

--take no part in destruction, in the end of days

there is a babe crying and I know, know about

that suffering, know about that pit. No.

Take no part.

I am an Engineer

An Architect

See this spring

see me come

see me develop

-I am a woman of value

I am not just because I think

Not just because I breathe

I do, I react, I act

Every decision and indecision

Mine, every troubled line

read, or unread, touching hearts

or helping just mine.

I exist in a bigger space than my own head.

I exist here. Now.

Take no part

in a forced abyss

Heed this, you are more than just

that space you occupy

More than pure psychical body

More than pure strangled mind

You are more

A conglomeration

Nebulous star stuff

You are the ink on a page

bright Summer's morning

You are the laughter and the tears

byproducts of being

You Are.

And that is enough.
