Enough With the Dancing

Youngest of twelve.

Misunderstood and childish,

That is how they all saw me,

But that is not who I am.

Not anymore.

I used to be one for love and romance.

However, that was all a mistake.

Feelings were not mutual

And he decided to wed my eldest sister instead.

Enough with the betrayal.

Enough with the lies.

Enough with the dancing.

This mystery of ours —

The mystery of all those nights my sisters and I spent,

All the laughing and drinking,

All the shoes that were danced to pieces —

It was all wrong.

Something must be done.
If no one was going to listen,

Then so be it.

I will take control of this kingdom.

I will rid this land of its corruption.

I will care for my people.

Goodbye to the shoes that were danced to pieces,

To anyone who refused to see me for who I am.

This kingdom is mine

And I will thrive.
