Enraptured

Words flow effortlessly

Like waves in an ocean,

Crashing upon her soul

As they do on the sandy shore.

She breathes them in,

Ribs stretching and expanding

Around the wild creature

Which they protect.

They seep through the heart

The same as ink through a page,

Branding the strong muscle

Like tattoos on pink skin.
