Entitled Ears
Dear all the entitled ears/
When was the last time you
Could truly hear?
Was it when the children’s ribs began to grind together
in a boisterous fit from the meals they weep for but never get
We have to feed our own, these kids aren’t shit
they’re leftovers from people we hate, and unfortunately missed?
Or maybe it was when the purple bowling ball hit her face
And you passed her on the street and called her a disgrace
For any woman dressed like that, deserved the name
it’s up to us to put her in her place?
Was it when a family of five was ripped
apart because we set up a traitorous system
To destroy their lives and FORCE them to commit crimes just to survive?
Yeah, let’s send them back to a country their eyes have never set,
Because we are America, United and shit.
Maybe it was the fireworks that exploded in all of the schools
took the lives of our suffering future’s youth
A future unheard, constrained by a mute
But because of what you support, they need to be bulletproof
What about flint? A lot of kids dying from bullets and hits
poisonous water and broken kids that aren’t expected to live
They’re one of our own, I thought we were supposed to be saving our home?
But we’re leaving them there to die, because it’s not your fault they can’t fix their lives, right?
Dear all the entitled ears,
Get off your ass, the time is near
Our country is dying, can’t you hear!?
Our future is screaming for you to appear!
To take a stand for what it right
And help our people
Learn to fight, not flight!
