Envisioning Vocations
The Little Things
It's the Little Things
The laugh of an elder,
The joy in a toddler
The thanks of a stranger
Encouraged by an act of being funny
Or helpful
People may not think much of the things they do
Because they stay in the blue with what they can do
Of the little things they do in a day
That can take someone else's pain away
But from helping others all I can say
Is that the joy on their faces brings me grace
Taking the time to be nice
Brings so many people a big surprise
Vocation is hard to find
But it is supposed to make one shine
It is a struggle
A selfless hustle
For others to enhance a better life
My effort is to change someone's life
Even if only for a little while
Simple actions are what bring out the smiles
Telling a joke, bringing kids toys, helping the broke
Things that do not seem like they matter
Proceed to make joy scatter
Life is all about those simple moments
That are made in a little while
That make people smile
Its those Little Things, that make life worthwhile
