Envy

She looked upon her as a hero, and a rival.
She saw the stars, and the darkness around her too.
She emitted a light so bright she didn't see it glow anew,
She didn't see it burn with envy, as the vengeance grew.
One night she stole away, to see her beloved,
She saw her, with him in her lover's bed.
With great sorrow she ran home,
And hung a rope, to find her freedom.
