The Epiphany
While reflecting on the dark spaces inside of the closets of one's mind,
tired neurons flicker like the fireflies in an dingy Louisiana swamp.
Then, as if the sun could rise within an instant,
the dark spaces disappear almost immediately-epiphany
Maybe it's improper to compare this result of a brainstorm to some thing as easy going as the sun.
Perhaps it would best be called a bolt of realization.
The clouds surrounding this bolt are illuminated.
In these clouds are doubts, fears.
A simple flash may lead to completes chaos.
"I'll never be as great as I know I should be."
What if the realization isn't in fear or doubt.
It may shine like the brightest star in the sky.
"I win! I shine over all!"
Ah, the wonders of an epiphany.
