The epitome child

Day in, day out. My life is great, I get just about anything I want, I have friends who genuinely care about me, two loving parents. So why am I unhappy? Shouldn’t I be the epitome of euphoria? Isn’t this the “American dream”? Why do I break down, why do I stop when I need to carry on. My life to this point has been such a cake walk. Even still I do fall, I crumble, I try not to show it but I am breaking inside. Outside I am cool calm and collected and a reason I’d a-credit to that is, I just don’t care. I don’t care if I live or die, whatever happens, happens. Who am I to interfere with the bigger picture? What is my life to this whole wide world? Why do I matter so much, can’t someone else do it? Why is it me?
