Epitome of Temptation
Holy Water streams down the blonde hair tied up in a blue ribbon of an eager 5 year old, waiting patiently for the Holy Spirit to twirl her into the Child of God awaiting her at the peak of destiny. But what if this Child of God doesn’t believe in the Roman Catholic Church’s teachings. She defies the beliefs with every thought she breathes but how dare she speak of them. She’s told her life will be consumed with unmerciful misfortunes if she lets Lucifer whisper bible verses in her ear. But she loves the way that girls lips feel against her cheeks. She finds herself drifting away in daydreams of Saint Cecelia’s granddaughters standing next to her in Holy Matrimony. “Women” she confesses, “are too beautiful to resist” “you’re a sinner” the priest accuses, “if my adoration for Gods womanly creation is illicit, my life is the epitome of temptation and I do not wish for purification”
