Equality

Location

Their ribs show, as their stomachs ache,

The tears secrete, and roll down their face

They watch the rich and the more that they take

As they sip their wine and dine on some steak

Meanwhile the others fight for a flake

Life looks great, as that one percent

Meanwhile the others fight to pay rent

They say they are not guilty

Although it seems like intent

I wonder why we are not wealthy

Why we’re never content

But this right here is called envy

And this is why we repent.

They say everyones equal, and this is my gist

It seems like we’re coequal, although it doesn’t exist

We get thrown in jail, while they get slapped on the wrist

Democracy has failed, and we’re in the midst.

It seems like in the billions are their net’s

Trip to the tropics in their private jets

But we don’t inherit millions

Only thing we inherit are debts

But I’m sure of one thing, at the arrival of death

I’ll have no regrets, Ill smile as I take my last breath

Because once we are in the dirt,

Six feet deep buried in the earth,

We’re equal, the same value we’re all worth.
