Equality will always prevail in the end

Thu, 08/06/2015 - 23:35 -- Hami

Flashback a hundred years ago,

The year is nineteen fifteen,

A year when women had no vote,

And no voice to portray their soul.

But five years later,

They would receive the vote,

And a hundred years later,

We have Hilary Clinton on the poll!

Up until nineteen fifty,

Everything was sliced and cut,

Colors couldn’t blend, nor synchronize,

Black and white were simply no match,

The world was unbendable.

But four years later,

When courageous leaders spoke up,

They claimed: “No more!”

And the heavens parted and everyone cheered,

For they had declared,

“Separate but equal” would cease to exist!

Though it takes time,

And sometimes an unfair start,

Equality will always prevail in the end.

And now more than ever,

The world has never had a bigger part,

Than to make unfair issues come to light.

The news, the papers, the blogs,

The social media of it all.

One problem at a time the truth is revealed,

And one step at a time,

The problem will disappear!

It may take months, years or decades,

But we will overcome whatever may come!
