Equals

I've never been wealthy, I don't own a car, I don't know what it's like.

I can't buy the games, that everyone plays, I don't enjoy that right.

But I can play music, drums and piano, where I can be on equal grounds.

The crowd cannot see, the tears I've shed, or what my purpose is about.

I always excel in math and science, because it's there, I have a chance.

It's my second home, that's I've always known, to accept me without a doubt.

Education, is my domain, it's my only place to be.

With it, my wants, my dreams, my desires, can be reality.

I write to learn, perform to grow, try so I may achieve,

I will always try, with goals set high, vying for a chance to be.
