Escape

Head so full of thoughts, 

Fingers throbbing, leaping off the keyboard,

Escape,

Let your words lead me,

Let your thoughts inspire me,

Frustration, Love, Heartache, Passion, 

You help me capture it all,

Escape,

In a word,

In a line,

The words I cannot say,

You spell out for me,

The lines that are easily forgotten,

You engrave on the page,

When all else fails, Poetry, you help me to escape
