Escape
Even though I have days were all I can see and feel are the demons clawing and raping my skull,
Even as I feel the devil and the weight of the world crushing every bone in my body
and it seems like I’m the only one that’s walked this path.
I hear and feel this shy but loud tune that brings me back to myself
.A tune that saves me from the rubbish that my own mind has created.
Music strums my heart one string at a time.
Then the entire world disappears
then I drift through the chords and
verse like a child discovering sugar.
As I hear the chapters of my life being sung to me , I become reintroduced
to myself. As I meet myself, I meet the demons
that have been scratching and screaming all my life
they dissipate. But as the singer becomes mute
and the tune fades I become grounded again
my souls is free like a lion whom
has escaped from captivity.
