Escape

Oh how the clean crisp air,

Fills my lungs to the brim.

Oh the feeling of living without a care,

The lights above are starting to dim.

The strain of tension runs through my spine,

Screaming for me to stop.

But this adrenaline is my lifeline,

And I must reach the top.

I am running from things that I do not seek,

Leaving the old world behind.

For things themselves are starting to reek,

Some things I wish I could rewind.

I am running to get away.

I don’t want my so to go astray.
