Escape

im standing in your shadow

an overcast of conceitment

trying to discover the light

which way is wrong, which way is right

to dark to notice a small movement

to bright to notice a smile

shadow cast of a long hollow mile

waiting in a trapped trial

for a period to long to wait

it will swallow you whole

leaving you breathless and without a soul

writing is my only escape

it lets me explain how i feel

how im a trapped shape

im a person and im real

this is my strong deep connection

in which i show true affection

my tunnel out of reality

freely exploring the depths of my mind

tracing back to where this would all start

honestly i began this journey in my heart
