Why Run from feelings when we can express

A day in our lives or things we regret

Some past times of remorse and success

Read between the lines  to see what they got off their chest

I love the freedom of speech and all the life lessons

That a Poet will teach if you show some aggression

To take time and see, which direction

That the author of this selection is headed

So hold on to each, talent and blessing

And always succeed, never regretting

What happens back then is in a distant place

I scratch my pen because it’s an instant escape
