Escape

It is an escape from reality,

reality that is at times hard to bear,

when nothing feels right,

and my heart aches to fit in,

but yearns for privacy,

that is when I sneak,

to a world of letters and punctuation,

flowing from my fingertips,

to a world that I can judge,

but it cannot judge me back,

to a world where I am safe,

that is where I find my escape.
