Escaped

destroyed,

petrified to even look into your eyes,

my legs are frozen,

my heart is frozen,

everything is frozen,

for you destroyed it with your countless stabs

and your innumerable kicks,

hatred is what you gave,

hatred is what I let you give.

pain,

nothing but the sharp pain in my heart as you

pulled it out and crushed it,

for you made me feel worthless,

for you made me feel unwanted,

I soon left, for I was unhappy,

because that's when I realized,

it was because you didn't love me.

butterflies,

butterflies is what I get when I'm around you,

the dreamy sensation of holding your hand,

the infatuation I recieve when spending time with you,

the endless laughter, unlimited amount of

kisses, hugs full of warmth and care,

it's simply amazing.

it's as if I am in love with you.

protection,

protection is what I feel when I'm with you,

the safety you providewith your audacious heart,

the security you provide with your soft soul,

you're my home,

for when I'm away I feel homesick for you,

and that's when it hit me,

it was because I love you.

love,

for you opened up my heart to a new kind of love,

a love that I never knew existed,

a love so pure and honest,

a love full of happiness and grace,

a love so natural,

and then I knew,

for you loved me too.
