Escaping
I stand up
Getting out of the dirty wrinkled T-shirt
Getting away from those twisted, freezing iorn bars in front of me
There I go again--I tell myself
Who am I?
Not this barbaric baggy bear lying on the concrete
This dirty, barely human walking shadow
No, definitely not
I was once beautiful
Wearing pink bubble dresses and shinny pearls on my neck
I was the center of my realm who speak and everybody focus
I was the child
I was
Young
And loved
I was the princess of the glorious land, who looking down at humans high above
And then I grow older
My dream shatters
They are better than me, I told myself
Prettier, Brighter, Charminger, Braver
They are Performers, Singers, Dancers, Adventurers
And I, the ugly ducklings among beautiful swans
hide
From reality
Or you may call it "Jail"
As I was imprisoned
And tortured in the jail that I created myself
Tortured by every whisper in my heart and every sadness coming to me like flooding water
I lay on the ground
Lifeless
Despaired
I stand up
and stand up
and stand up
and stand up
But I am always defeated
I can not escape the jail
Even if I am always escaping
I can not be the best
So after hundreds and hundreds times of trying
I stand up
Stumble to balance
And smile
There is always shadows accompanied with light
looking at the shadows, you can forget what the light looks like
I am perfection and imperfection
I am imprisoned and free
I am composed of
Shadows
and the Brightest Morning Sunlight
