Escaping darkness.
In a forest where I constantly keep walking,
no one seemed to notice that I was gone from home.
It's been days, months, and years since I last felt loved.
Here I reside from those busy bodies.
I left behind those empty promises that used to harm me.
The only light within this dark night are the stars swimming up high.
They have become my only company through this empty darkness I've claimed as mine.
I am alone.
Yet I am unsure if I should return to my old home?
Would I be welcomed? Or would I be ignored by those whom I used to love?
It's difficult to know if this journey's worth the risk.
I'd need to keep walking past these trees,
In order to receive a sign of where I will be heading.
