Escaping Flames

The constant chatter burns and seeks to stop Still silence from its highly important aim. And chores stoke angry fires that only maim And melts our thrills and sets red flames so hot To hopeful dreams that burn to ash and rot. The infernos combust our hearts and claim Sweet peace from souls and leave scorched life lame. Oh! Why don’t raucous confused days not stop? And yet there is a wondrous curing aid That forsakes strife with sturdy mortal blade. It’s to douse yourself with life’s soothing sea Of silent refreshing melodies and Wash away every toil from weary hand. For silent nothingness is the great key To live your life and let your soul be free!
