Essence of Choices

You go left or right

You stand up or sit down

You choose one or the other

You make that one decision

Not realizing what you had done.

Now you start to think back,

questioning why did you let this happen.

You send your mind into overdrive

Hoping to erase that choice from

Your memory and thinking it never existed.

But the truth is that it lingers for awhile

Reminding you of what you done.

You continue life like nothing happened

But that choices stills sticks around like

Its frozen in time.

You collect yourself and acknowledge your

Actions and what that choice brought to you.

You begin to start to feel lighter and free

Like a leaf falling free from a tree.

That choice taught you something that

You didn’t want to face just yet.

But looking back making that choice was

All just apart of a greater fret.
