Essence of Poetry

Poetry to me is extraordinarily essential on a daily basis.

Hip-Hop and Rap music made me like this, 

The way artists and poets glorify the feeling of a verse or verses

and change the mood with a chorus, 

Is really an incredible manner to tell one's stories.

Without poetry there would have been no music

and without music or poems,  life would be boring.             

That is what poetry and being a poet means to me.

I knew I wanted to be a poet all my life,

I just had to wait till the right time 

I first learned poetry when i was in the fourth grade

the first sort of poem that struck me was about a boy so voracious

and the song that stood out most was The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi

surely it could have been a poem by Mary Robinson from 1795

About a genius in a tight loft starving

a simile that stood out to me.

The reason I write is because it aids me in music,

the words that I desire, I choose them.

The knowledge I gain I can't lose it,

the phrases I pick may confuse you

but to me they have peculiarity 

they jump into your ears when they get the opportunity.
