Here I am, the youngest

But smartest in my class

Age 15 and already two-thirds

Done with school

People joke about me having

No common sense

Others like La Lune say

I’m ignorant

But how can that be

With a 3.52 GPA

I have learned all there

Is to know about Earth’s

Biology, Algebra 2H, English 2H,

Even Architectural Drafting . . . up to the 3rd level

People joke about me having

No common sense

Others like Bulan say

I’m ignorant

But how can that be

With a 3.52 GPA

Summer is here

I should be loud and free

But here I am at Upward Bound

Having Mwezi insult me

People joke about me having

No common sense

Others like Mwezi say

I’m ignorant

But how can that be

With a 3.52 GPA
