Eternal

Shall I compare friends to flowers.

Flowers grow bright and are diverse in color

Red, blue, filled with green from the stem to the leaves on either end

Its beauty grows like a friend, when one becomes closer to them.

What must I say about a close friend?

That their kindness fills the room while trust fills your heart,

That their beautiful colors fill their cheeks when different emotions emerge,

That they’ll be there to support you any time you feel distressed.

Although, it’s evident that the longer something grows, the weaker it becomes.

The bright colors of flowers dim as they bend over to the ground,

Like the bond between friends that kindle with tension,

the longer they stand next to one another.

Shall I compare flowers to friends,

How both slowly die after living for awhile,

How both fade to darkness because...

They are made to not last forever.
