Eternal Knight

I wait in the empty darkness In the shadows of the night To feel the burn of the fire But the darkness doesn't hide out the candle The glow and shimmer of redemption Where is our ambition What is my ambition? To fight this war, between creatures so dark To hear people yelling it's over, redemption Into the night Lighting once again a stick of wax They come toward us. In their eyes i see, raging fire Breaths are taken away by the endless heat As each beast shows ambivalence Each of us blow out our candle So there is nothing left but darkness The 12 foot beings search for us through the night For us there might be redemption The demented humans redeploy After they have cleared out, we light our fire We walk back to camp for the night Not knowing they're watching us ambient They wait in the dark Untill the last one is blown out, the last candle Then it's blown, the flicker Demons are redoubtable When a bolt of lightning ruins the darkness I gallop out of my tent with a torch of fire In my hand. In front of us holds a big condition But the war goes on through the night At that moment 2:47 we stood boldly as knights Nothing ahead or behind us but the ashes of candles We found our ambition We are finally free, we're redeemed From this day on I think of the glowing fire And those evil eyes, we defeated in the darkness
