Eternal Love

I didn't know you had to go,
Or I would've told you how I love you so.
I didn't want to believe it was true,
So I searched for you.
I looked all around,
Until I fell to the ground.
Realizing my soul mate was forever home,
How I longed to call you on the phone.
Just to hear your voice once more.
As my heart shattered, I knew my chore
Was to be sure you're remembered forevermore.
So for now you protect me from above,
Until I take my flight as a dove.
To join you in eternal light,
Where in our love, we will delight.
We shall forever stroll,
While the ages roll.
